Multiple Intelligences Research Centre (MIRC) is functioning under the aegis of Intelligence Management and Placement Consultancy. The Objectives are as follows:

2. MIPT INFORMATION
The MIPT has been created in recognition of the rich potential that exits in each of you. Psychological testing is like medical test. If a patient has physical symptoms, a physician may ask for an x-ray or blood test to understand what is causing those symptoms. The results of these tests will help inform develop a treatment plan. Psychological tests serve the same purpose. Psychologist uses the test results to arrive at a diagnosis and plan a treatment. Psychological tests are administered for a variety of reasons.
HOW TO TAKE MIPT AT HOME
General information about taking MIPT
MIPT gives test taker intellectual disposition in each of the eight intelligences identified by Howard Gardner. MIPT report given to the test taker in a useful way to help him plan his education and career centring the attention on areas of strength and possibilities. MIPT is administered with a fixed time limit of 30-35 minutes and the pictures in it have no right or wrong answers. All children above 6 years are eligible for taking the test.
How MIPT is administered?
MIPT is administered under open administration. Openly administered test is one that is available for completion by anyone on demand. The MIPT you might buy in a bookshop or you can order it from the representatives of MIPT or directly from selling company.
MIPT is available to you without anyone having supervised its administration. This test meets the technical requirement and it is specifically designed for use in the open and uncontrolled mode of administration.
Guidelines for taking MIPT at Home
- The MIPT is intended for students 6 years of age and above
- Take the MIPT at home
- Don’t take the test when you are fatigued, stressed, sick, poorly instructed and where there are environmental distractions.
- It is not something you need to study for. Psychological testing is nothing to fear.
- MIPT is not like taking a multiple- choice exam that you either pass or fail
- There are no risks involved in MIPT testing
- Test taker will report accurately about his likes and dislikes of test pictures
- Ensure potential sources of distracters (e.g., mobile phones) are removed
- Ensure test- taker has the material (e.g., blue/black pen) he requires for taking the test before it begins
- Read instruction clearly and calmly.
Complete the test in 30-35 minutes once you start
Instructions for filling responses
- Separate the RESPONSE SHEET from the test booklet.
- Fill in the test takers particulars on the RESPONSE SHEET.
- Paste your passport size photograph on the RESPONSE SHEET
- See each picture quickly and darken the ‘L’ circle completely if you like that picture, and darken the ‘D’ circle if you dislike that picture
- Use only blue/black pen to fill the circles
- Record your like or dislike for all the 64 test pictures
- Circles should be darkened completely and properly
- There are no right or wrong responses
- Do not use marker or whitener fluid to hide the marks
- The MIPT takes 30-35 minutes to complete
- The right or wrong method of darkening the circle is given on the RESPONSE SHEET

Administering MIPT
The Multiple Intelligences Picture Test is intended for students 6 years of age and above. Take the test at home. Don’t take the test when you are fatigued, stressed, sick, poorly instructed and where there are environmental distractions. Read instructions on the test booklet clearly and calmly. Determining Dominant Intelligence
At very early ages children begin to show natural ability or preferences. The best method for identifying one’s dominant intelligence is observation. (Armstrong, 1994). Observation of each student is not always possible in determining dominant intelligences.
